The essential problem is the understanding of the interaction between the femur, the tibia and the patella. The importance of the peripheral formations is often under estimated. Replacement of a ligament in the central pivot is difficult and must be followed by a specific rehabilitation protocol which takes into account the new function of the musculoaponeurotic system.
