The complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a pathology characterized by painful and motor disorders. The pathophysiology discoveries led the physiotherapist to adopt novel methods. The exclusively cognitive approach of the graded motor imagery (GMI) returns it innovating in the rehabilitation of the CRPS. Not very expensive, easy to use and effective this one is predisposed to take an important place in the therapeutic arsenal
of the physiotherapist to treat this syndrome.
This article explains the interest of the GMI and described it.
